Hi everyone..welcome back for another weekly challenge with The Perfect Sentiment.
Today is bittersweet for me as I love the challenge we have lined up for you today, Anything Goes, but this is also my last post as a Senior Design Team member with the Perfect Sentiment. I thought long and hard about this decision and it is just time for me to move on. I have really enjoyed being on this DT and meeting some wonderful & super creative & talented ladies. I've been on this Team when it first started almost a year ago by Jenn so it is hard to leave when I've been a part of this team for so long..but I still want all of you to visit the challenge blog every Wednesday & continue to participate in the weekly challenges they have lined up for you : )
Now on to my "Anything Goes" project...
As I mentioned before..I love this week's challenge. I decided to create a Trio of Travel Tags for my final DT project.
First up...Enjoy the Journey! I used a Tim Holtz gear to mimic a steering wheel..tied some cotton trim around the tag and added some bling!
Next we have My Journey. This tag is more for journaling & writing down a fun memory from the vacation or excursion you went on. I used a memo stick pin to hold up the remember sentiment.
Lastly...The Time Of My Life! I used one of the tags from the paper collection..topped it off with some trim and used a 7 Gypsies clip on the side. The bottom is wrapped with some black jute.
This was a super fun, quick & easy project and this is something that you could easily create yourself to remember a road trip, cruise or whatever type of vacation you took. These could also be added to a layout or mini album.
Now for some inspiration from the rest of the Perfect Sentiment DT...

This was a super fun card to create & even though I am a purple girl...I am really lovin this green color : )

Hey everyone...welcome back for another challenge with The Perfect Sentiment!!
What a fun challenge we have in store for you this week...your creative task is to create a card with a sentiment of missing you (make sure your sentiment is on the front of the card) & the twist is to use something with wings on your card. This winged element can be something on the card stock you choose, your embellishment or in my case...actual wings : )
At first I had an idea in my head but I wasn't quite sure how to pull it off so I thought to myself...ah..I'll just "wing" it...haha..ok so that was a pretty lame joke but seriously here's my card for this week's challenge......
Ok..I have confession to make...I've been hoarding these wings..yes hoarding them. I picked these feathery beauties up at the Creating Keepsakes convention earlier this year and I LOVE them!! They are just so vintagy/shabby chic looking to me which is something I adore. But I knew they would work perfectly for this week's challenge.
See what I mean????
The black bling just really pops off the page against the muted toned CS...which I think goes so well with the crumpled & distressed patterned paper I used for the base of this card.
Who doesn't love some Prima matched up with some yummy twine from The Twinery. Don't you just love that yummy textured gold ribbon?
Stamped sentiment in Tim Holtz's Broken China..goes so well with the gold ribbon which is from Really Reasonable Ribbon. I'm a member of their Ribbon Of The Month club and this was from the November 2011 assortment (ok so maybe I was hoarding this ribbon as well..haha).
To carry the look from the front to the inside...I cut a circle from the same patterned paper...distressed it and topped it off with a vintage wood button...twine & more of the gold ribbon.
Here's a closer look at the embelli I created...I love mixing vintage with new...such a unique look I think : )

Enjoy Life!! That's what I try to do each and every day...enjoy life. This also happens to be the title for today's project which I'm submitting for The Play Date Cafe's challenge for this week.
First let me share my project & then I'll show you the color story we worked with this week...
and the color story......
I just had an order from Pink Paislee arrive a few weeks ago and when I saw the color story I just knew exactly which collection I wanted to use...Nantucket!!
I started off by using a round wood wall hanging I picked up on one of my junkin trips...painted it white & then distressed the edges so the lovely detail on the wood would show through. Since the Nantucket collection is beach themed..I used some bling to mimick waves & tucked them behind some lovely lace & crinkle ribbon from 3 Girl Jam.
I made a small flower from more of the crinkle ribbon..added some floral pins & topped it with a cute seahorse tile.
Enjoy Life life trading card from the Nantucket collection. I added a few flat backed pearls to sort of balance the left side of the wall hanging.
Love how the crinkle ribbon looks with a little bit of white lace peeking through!! I have this hanging in my craft room & I just love how it looks and it's such a wonderful sentiment to look at reminding me to...well...Enjoy Life!!
Thanks for stopping by my blog today..don't forget that 3 Girl Jam has a new challenge blog starting this Friday the 24th...there are giveaways..discount codes & much much more..so be sure to check out all of the details HERE!!

Welcome back for another FAB challenge with The Perfect Sentiment! This week's challenge is for one of those cards that nobody wants to ever have to buy or make...a sympathy card...but we all one time or another have a need for one. Luckily for me I don't have a use for this and can stash it away in my card file : )
Your challenge is to create a card with a sentiment for sympathy and the twist is to make it CAS (Clean and Simple).
Here's my take on this week's challenge........
I really like the soothing blue tones of this card against the white satin ribbon & white CS.
I didn't want to fussy up this one too much with ink etc since it's a CAS challenge so I embossed a floral image on the blue CS just to give it a little texture/dimension.
Some nice soft satin ribbon I picked up from Kirkland a few years back. Seriously this roll is never ending even though I use it a lot : )

Hey everyone...welcome back for another super fun challenge with The Perfect Sentiment!
Your challenge is to create a card with a sentiment of friendship and the twist is to use some girly embellis like pearls, lace, flowers, bling you know..all those things us girls love : )
Love the challenge for this week as I am truly blessed to have a great circle of friends not only in real life but also in my online blogging/crafting community. So designing a card for the challenge was fun & had me reminiscing to myself of all the great ladies I have in my life & for those who I can truly count on and who are there for me no matter what!!
I thought this sentiment was pretty appropriate & pretty much sums up how I feel about things...Life Is Good!!!
The pics are a tad dark this week..sorry about that. The sun was going down when I took these & I wasn't in my usual spot for taking pics : )

What??? A Christmas card in mid July??? Yup...that's right. Over at The Perfect Sentiment we are having a Christmas in July card challenge : )
I know some of you live in states where the heat is just scorching & miserably hot so maybe looking at some Christmas themed cards will help give you a "virtual" break from the heat and bring on some cool thoughts : )
The challenge is to create a card with a sentiment for Christmas/Season's Greeting's/Hannukah. The twist is to use some border punches on your creation & make sure your sentiment is on the FRONT of the card where we can see it : )
Here's my take on this week's challenge......
I wanted to mix it up a bit and not use the traditional red/green colors. So I paired up some deep red CS with some blues & browns for this card & really like how they look together.
For my border punch I used the Martha Stewart large snowflake. I really like the detail on this punch & how it turned out on the TH distress CS.
I used a Sizzix snowflake embossing folder on the same CS..topped it off with a sentiment from K & Company's Tidings of Comfort & Joy collection & some yummy Maraschino twine from The Twinery.
Some cute felt poinsettias topped with more twine in Denim.
Really love how this card turned out...mostly due to the CS color combos I selected. I'll be making more holiday cards & projects using these colors for sure!!
