Hi Friends! Today I have a really cool card to share with you. I created this thank you card using some office supplies. I'm linking this up to the current challenge over at Pink By Designs Stamps.
Here are the items I used to create this thank you card...
I love taking "non-traditional" crafting items and incorporate them into projects.
I created this flower using some rubber bands and topping it off with a vintage button. Love how this turned out : )
Loving the mix of office supplies and how well they work together.
Some yummy Crinkle Ribbon from 3 Girl Jam!
Aren't the decorative erasers cute???
This was such a fun card to create & I really enjoyed adding in some office supplies as well.
I do have a short video on my YouTube channel, you can check it out HERE . Blogger is being wonky and isn't allowing me to add videos directly into my posts right now. Boo!!
Thanks for stopping by and & checking out another ScrappinAbby project.
Happy Crafting!!

3GJ Challenge No.18-Use A Digi With Ribbon
Hi Friends! Today I'm up over on the 3 Girl Jam Challenge blog for our current challenge that's going on, "Use A Digi With Ribbon".
Now for those of you who know me..know I'm not a digi user...I'm not hate'n on them at all..I just know my design style so this was a challenge for me as I embraced it and created my "I Like Your Style Girl" diva tag....
Our sponsor for this challenge, Use a Digi With Ribbon, is Sassy Studio Designs
Here's the digi I chose to use for this challenge...Evanora..
I decided to do some paper piecing with this digi image instead of coloring it as you would normally see since I don't do coloring or use Copics etc.
I used some of the yummy Halloween Harvest crinkle ribbon for this tag. I love how it looks against the purple and green tones in the papers I used for the image.
I thought the feathers were a fun touch to add to the image : )
Here's a better photo of the paper piecing I did for this image...
Isn't that crinkle ribbon just gorgeous???
I have a short video to share with you that shows you the tag up close and the products I used for this tag..you can check it HERE on my YouTube Channel. Blogger is being weird and isn't allowing anyone to insert videos directly into our posts...urgh!!
As I mentioned at the beginning of this post, the current challenge is sponsored by Sassy Studio Designs (the winner will get 4 digis of their choice) and by 3 Girl Jam (a gift certificate for $10...wowza). This Challenge goes through May 23rd so be sure to head into your creative space and get started on your project!! Also don't forget to stop by the 3 Girl Jam Challenge Blog for all the details surrounding the challenge.
I sure hope you join in on the challenge...I know we'd love to see what you come up with : )
Thanks for stopping by and happy craftin!!

Super Fun Quick and Easy Washi Tape Projects
Hi Friends! I have some really fun, super quick and easy Washi Tape projects to share with all of you today. I don't know about you but I've sorta been collecting all sorts of Washi Tapes in different widths, colors and patterns..I just think they're cute!! I just ordered a ton of fabric tape from Maya Road so as I was adding it to my stash of other tapes...I realized I'd better start using this stuff at some point..lol.
So that brings me to today's post...I spent about an hour at the most coming up with and creating 5 projects to share with you using Washi Tape in different ways. I also have a short video that shows you all of the projects up close as well as the tapes I used so be sure to check that out too : )
As you can see I made a couple of tags, dressed up some journaling cards and made a mini canvas...all in under an hour. You can do this too..trust me : )
Here's the short video...(for some reason Blogger isn't loading my videos but you can check out my video HERE on my YouTube Channel : )
First up are the tags...I wanted to create a flower for one of them and for the second I simply used a few different colored and patterned tapes and made them the background for the tag.
The Washi Tapes take sprays perfectly!! I go over that in the video..but here's a closer look...
Such a fun way to create your own background by placing strips of the tape on your projects!
You can use the Washi Tape to create simple flower to embellish your projects!
Next up are the journal cards I dressed up a bit : )
Some simple pleating of the Washi Tape gives your projects some great detail.
Making some small simple flowers & adding some leaves really dresses up the note card don't you think?
And for my last project...probably my favorite...is a mini canvas...
Use your Washi Tape as a background for a canvas project. I absolutely love this one and I have it displayed in my craft room already..lol.
I hope I've been able to give you some ideas on how to use your stash of Washi Tape. These are some quick and easy projects that you can create for that last minute gift or tag might need.
I'll leave you with one last photo...it's of my baby Bella checkin things out as I was snapping the above photos..
Happy Crafting!!

Mothers Day Tea Cups
Hi Friends! This is Abby with ScrappinAbby and I am thrilled to be sharing another Scor-pal project with you using the gorgeous Diane & Lexington paper collections from SEI!
I knew right away what I wanted to create once I saw the beautiful floral papers in the two collections I received, Mothers Day Tea Cups. I have 4 Sisters-in-Law so I made one cup for each of them and one for my Mother-in-Law which I'll give to them at our Mothers Day brunch.
You'll do this step on 4 of your flaps and fold them down accordingly
For the handle I used a doily die with the same card stock I used for the cup
The next few photos show you how I cut the handle portion, adhered it together and attached it to the cup
I wanted to add an additional decorative element to the cup so I used more Scor-tape around the base and added some Lavish Lace trims
For the last construction step I used the 1" & 1/4" Scor-tape to adhere the cup to the "saucer" I made with another die cut doily from the paper and some chipboard
I used a variety of flowers, laces and pearl trims to embellish the cups and personalize them a bit. Here's one last photo before I added all of those items
And here are a few additional photos of the completed Tea Cups
There are some amazing prizes up for grabs from both SEI and Scor-pal so you'll want to be sure and check out the Scor-pal blog for all the details.
I hope my project has inspired you to pull our your Scor-pal and Scor-tape so you can work with some of the gorgeous papers from SEI and create your own dimensional projects that you can use as gifts or to keep for yourself. Thanks for stopping and checking out another scrappy post and another Scor-pal DT Project!!

Products used:
Doily Die
Pearl trim
Tulle
Lace
Flowers
Additional embellishments-Please see complete list at the end of this post
For the basic construction of the cups, I cut my selected card stock to 9 x 5 1/2
Then I scored each piece of paper at the 1" mark until I reached 8"
After rotating the paper, I made one last score at 1 1/4"
Next I made a small cut up to the 1 1/4" score line for each of the 1" score marks I made at the beginning. I also cut off the last 1" tab that's left and made a flap by cutting off the corners of the last 1" strip
Here's a video I made that walks you through this step as well as the construction of the handle. The cup portion is at the 3:32 mark and the handle is at 12:16 : )
Next I applied some Scor-tape to the flap
I used the 1/8" Scor-tape for the flaps on the bottom side of the cup
You'll do this step on 4 of your flaps and fold them down accordingly
For the handle I used a doily die with the same card stock I used for the cup
The next few photos show you how I cut the handle portion, adhered it together and attached it to the cup
