Hi Friends! Today I'll be sharing another fun project with you for Linnie Blooms June's Challenge: Outdoor Fun. This month we'll be showing you some fun ways to use your LB Stencils/Masks and Canvas pieces to show what kind of outdoor fun we will be having this month. I have a secret though...my outdoor fun isn't until July when we're on vacation so don't tell anyone ; )
I created a mixed media layout using some of the LB canvas pieces....
I also have a video that shows you the project up close along with a tutorial of how I created the leaves using some of the LB Canvas Pieces...
In the video...I walk you through the steps on how I created the leaves for this layout but below is a photo of the process so you can see the transformation...
Love how these turned out and how they added such a fun texture and pop of color to the layout....
I can't wait to put a family photo of us on the beach on this layout once we're back from our vacation next month. This is going to be a fun addition to add to my gallery wall at home and what a way to remember a fun day of my family enjoying some "Outdoor Fun".
Thanks for stopping by my blog today and be sure to head to the online store and pick up some of the Canvas Pieces for yourself.
Hi Friends! For this project, I had the pleasure of working with the amazing papers from Graphic 45.Using the gorgeous French Country collection and my Scor-pal, I made a French Country Port Wine Gift Bag.
Here's a short video that shows you the project up close along with the papers I used.....
To create the gift bag, I took a 12x12 piece of paper from the French Country collection and placed it on my Scor-pal and made score marks at 2 1/2", 5 1/2", 8" and 11"
Next I rotated the paper and made another score mark at 1 1/2". You can adjust the height of your gift bag depending on how tall your beverage bottle is that you are using.
I then folded along all of my score lines and made the cuts that you'll see in the photo below
I used Scor-tape on the edges and flaps that will create the gift bag. I do want to note that I inked all of my edges and placed my embellishments on the gift bag before I assembled it. I find doing this makes adding the final touches easier to do.
Once I assembled the gift bag, I took a 1/2" of paper to create the handle. Before covering it with some modge podge, I used a slightly smaller width strip of paper to add accent to the handle. The reason I used the modge podge was to give the strip of paper some added durability since it would be carrying the gift bag with a bottle of wine in it.
Next I added some fussy cut images from the French Country collections, a mix of flowers and some crinkle ribbon.
I wrapped some jute around the top of the bottle and used one of the G45 Metal Tags. Here you can easily write the name of the receipient or you could use a label.
I added more modge podge to the label I fussy cut from the collection and tucked some flowers and crinkle ribbon around it. I thought this would be a fun way to dress up the gift bag.
In the next few photos you can see how I applied some Crackle Accents to the fussy cut roosters to create an aged looked and to add decor to the sides. This way if it's displayed on a kitchen counter it looks complete on all sides.
I really love how this wine gift bag turned out and using the gorgeous papers from G45 and the Scor-pal products really made this project look elegant. This is such a quick and easy project to create and you can adjust the height and width to accommodate whatever type of beverage you are giving.
Thanks for stopping by my blog and for checking out another ScrappinAbby project. I hope I was able to show you a creative way to use the amazing Scor-pal and G45 products.
Hi Friends! Happy World Card Making Day!! Today I'll be sharing a card I made for our niece and her hubby who just found out they are expecting their first baby. My hubby and I are so excited for them in this new journey in their life.
I used my Scor-pal to create some texture on a piece of clear card stock, I thought this would be such a fun touch to this card. Here's a short video that shows you the card up close...
I love the clear crisp lines you get from the Scor-pal.
I am really pleased with how well this card turned out. I love designing cards when I know the person personally...it just gives it so much more meaning. I can't wait to give this to her and give them a huge hug with congratulations. Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today and for checking out another project. I hope all of you are doing something creative today and please leave a comment if you have any questions on how I created the card...or if you just want to say you like it...lol :) Happy Crafting!! Hi Friends. I have a really sweet baby congratulations card to share with all of you. A friend of mine at work just found out that she is going to be a grandma. This is her daughter's first pregnancy and I've made some crafty things for her before for their wedding last summer. So since this is such a happy occasion for her, I wanted to create a card for Heather congratulating her on journey into motherhood.
For this card I used some of sweet Baby Boy and Baby Girl Crinkle Ribbon from the Baby Bundle along with a bit of the Latte ribbon from the from newly released Coffee Bundle from 3 Girl JAM.
I love mixing the different Crinkle Ribbons from all the bundles that 3 Girl JAM has to offer.
If you don't have any of these colors in your ribbon stash..be sure to head over to the 3GJ Store and get some today. I hope you enjoyed my card & I can't wait to put this in the mail for Heather.
Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting!!

Hi Friends...last Friday I did a sneak peek of my DT project with Scor-pal. You can see the full tutorial on their blog HERE. I wanted to share with you some additional photos of the project. I do have a quick video I did last night...I'll have this uploaded to the blog later tonight so be sure to check back for that. It will also be on my YouTube Channel.
I created a mini baby carriage with a tag mini that fits inside using the G45 Little Darlings collection....
The Little Darlings Collection is perfect for a project like this.
Such a fun and cute project to make. Imagine giving this to a new mom to display in the baby nursery. My sister-in-law just had twin baby girls so I may end up making another one of these so I can give her two of them...how cute!!
Thanks for stopping by and checking out another scrappy post. Be sure to come back tomorrow...I have a mixed media canvas project to share with you. It's something I made for my daughter Kaley using some candy wrappers : )
Hi Friends...today over on the Scor-pal Blog I have a super cute and easy project to share with all of you. It's my take on a baby carriage using my Scor-pal and the G45 Little Darlings Collection. I'll be doing a full post with additional photos and a video on this project next week so be sure to come back and check that out.
I'll "tease" you with a few photos now but you can see more photos of the baby carriage on the Scor-pal blog.
Have a great Friday and be sure to come for another scrappy post...I'll be sharing some birthday cards I made for a local swap that's happening this weekend : )
Happy Wednesday...it's time for another super fun challenge with The Perfect Sentiment
With Father's Day coming up we have a the perfect challenge for you....create a Father's Day card using the color story provided..which I will show you in just a moment. I have to tell you that this time of year is a little bittersweet for me..my dad is in heaven so this holiday is always a hard one for me. I think about all the fun times I had with my dad and this helps me through the rough patches and sad times. I will forever cherish the memories we made together & when I think of them...I get a huge smile on my face : )
Since I don't have my dad "here" to make a card for...I made one for my hubby for this challenge.
And here's the color story.............
I loved the color choices we had for this challenge & once I saw them I knew instantly that I wanted to use the Proper Gentleman Collection from G45.
I took a creative spin on this card & used a recycled bottom pocket presentation folder for the base of my card. I trimmed it down to the size I wanted but kept the bottom pockets...I'll show you what I did with those in a moment.
Instead of making the inside of my card look as I normally do...I wanted to mix it up a bit and make pockets to tuck letters in. My idea was to have the kids write a letter to Steve or write down a favorite memory or funny story or experience they had with Steve. I thought this would be a great way to express their love for him & be something different than the normal "Happy Father's Day" sentiment you typically see on the inside of a card. This will actually take some thought which I know he will appreciate...especially as the years go by and he can pull this card out and re-read what the kids were thinking & feeling when they were 16 & 12.
To keep with the vintage feel of this card I used some old school paper from a writing tablet. I remember practicing my ABC's on this type of paper when I was a kid : )
I added some metal grommets & tied them off with some vintage seam binding I picked up on one of my junkin trips.
I don't know if you can see it very well in this picture but I love the faux leather look of this folder...it goes perfectly with the theme of the card I think. I can't wait to show this card to Steve & more importantly I can't wait to see his face when he reads the sweet words the kids wrote for him : )
Now for some amazing inspiration from my fellow DT members.....
Shelly is offering up one free digi to the winner of this week's challenge. She has been a long time sponsor for our challenge blog so be sure to stop by her store and show her some love.
Don't forget to check out all of the details surrounding this week's challenge at the PSCB. You can also see how you can become one of The Perfect Three : )
Now that you been inspired by the PSDT...head into your creative space and get started on your card for the Father's Day Color Story.
Thanks for stopping by my blog & for taking the time to check out my Father's Day card. I will let you all know what Steve thought of the card & if I'm lucky he'll let me take his pic with it so I can share that with you too : )
Have a great day and be sure to stop back for another scrappy post.
