Custom Name Board

Hi Friends! Today I'm sharing a name board I just created for a client of mine. I love making these and customizing them for the receipient...so much fun!

Now keep in mind that I took this photo in the late evening so I apologize it's not the best pic ever...I had to deliver this the next day so I did what I could :)

I have short video for you as well which shows the name board up close along with the goodies I used to create this....

This is one of the longer name boards I've made so it's kinda hard to get it all in one photo.

To create the embossed, aged look on the chipboard letters, I ran each one through one of my Sizzix embossing folders, then used some gold embossing powder on each one then inked the edges with TH's Walnut Stain. I love how these turned out.

Here's a closer photo of the E so you can see all the detail.....
And here's the backside...

These fold up nicely for storage too. I've made some for the holidays and they are easy to store with my decorations and each year when I pull them out, they look just as good as the day I made them :)

All bundled up and ready for delivery : )

Her sister picked this up and said she was going to love it...so I'm anxious to hear what she thought after receiving her name board.

Thanks for checking out another ScrappinAbby project and for stopping by my blog today.

Happy Craftin!!

Memories Journal

Hi Friends! Today I have a project to share with you that's featured over on the  Crafting Ireland blog today. I made a Memories Journal for my daughter Kaley. Her 14th birthday is coming up on the 17th so I wanted to not only make her something to celebrate her day but to also give her something that she could use to record memories of her last year in middle school...sniff sniff..where has the time gone!!

If you click on the link above, you'll be able to see the full tutorial on how I created this journal. I also have a video which I'll upload later today on my CHANNEL. But in this post I'll just share the completed project : )

My daughter's school colors are blue and yellow & since it's a memory journal for her last year of 8th grade...that's the color scheme I went with for this project. I made this from an old book cover and used office envelopes and such to create journaling pages, pockets, tags and plenty of space for photos.

I can't wait to give this Kaley and more importantly I'm excited to see her fill this up with memories from her friends.

Thanks for checking out another scrappy post & another DT project for Crafting Ireland.

Happy Crafting!!

3 Girl JAM 2 Year Anniversary Celebration Blog Hop

Hi Friends!! Welcome to the 3GJ 2 Year Anniversary Celebration Party!! You should have just came from my DT Sista Cheri's blog, if not, click HERE to join in on the blog hop party from the very beginning...trust me you won't want to miss a thing! We have a TON of generous sponsors who are giving away some great goodies so be sure to check out the 3GJ blog for all the details on that. Julie...the owner of 3GJ has also provided each of us ribbon lovin ladies on her DT some goodies to give away on our own blogs as well. Check below for more details on that : )

Not only is 3 Girl JAM celebrating their 2 year anniversary but my baby boy, Tre', is turning 18 this weekend so I thought what better way to not only "Celebrate" 3GJ's exciting milestone with a card using some of the FAB 3GJ Crinkle Ribbon but to celebrate a milestone in my son's life as well : )

I didn't want to make this card to "girly" so I used a mix of some darker papers, metals and mixed in the Tuxedo & Sterling crinkle ribbon from the Celebrations bundle along with a touch of Aqua Splash from the Caribbean Splash bundle.

I love how this card turned out using the 3 different Crinkle Ribbons!!

Now do you want to see the list of amazing sponsors who are giving up some prizes for this awesome celebration???
Click HERE for a detailed list of what each FAB sponsor will be giving away..there's just too much to list..trust me you'll want to check it out!! Now remember I mentioned Julie gave us some goodies to giveaway on our own blogs??? Well here's what I have up to offer for one lucky crafter...

That's right...the yummy Royal Bundle!!! Anyone who knows me knows I am obsessed with all things purple and I LOVE this bundle and use it all the time. So, how this will work is that I will randomly draw one name from all the comments I receive from the day the Celebration Hop begins, Friday September 6th, and will post the winner on my blog Monday September 9th! How easy is that right??

Now your next stop on the hop is with my other super creative DT Sista Jessica
