C'est Magnifique September 2011 Papers & Embelli's

Hi Friends...guess what arrived today???

My order from C'est Magnifique!!! Let me tell you I am super excited to start working with these amazing papers and embelishments.

The papers are from Poland and they are just gorgeous. Each of the patterned papers are double sided...love that.

The solid cardstock is really nice and heavy...and they are distress papers too...meaning that you can sand, distress w/an edging tool or rip/tear them and another color shows underneath...I have worked with this type of cardstock before and I really like it. Gives you lots of options with solid color cardstock.

Here are the embelishments & misting spray that came with my order...

These mini ornate gates are just adorable...can't wait to use them on a LO.
Beautiful Prima Whisper Flowers with Pearl Sparkling

Pink Paislee Mistable Scallop ribbon and Shimmerz Coloring in Mama Sings the Blues. I am excited to use this mist with the scallop ribbon...will be so pretty I am sure.

Lots of Scrap Cake die cut tags that coordinate perfectly with the cardstock and patterned papers.

I am really excited to use these amazing supplies from C'est Magnifique. I will be submitting some LO's for their October Guest Designer spot. I will of course will do a post on my entries and show you the LO's I created with their September paper line.

This is where you can visit their blog and peruse their amazing store full of wonderful papers including the items I mentioned above...

Love this pillow I found at Costco today...it's a gorgeous purple and will fit nicely in my bedroom decor : )

Lastly I will leave you with a picture of my little baby Bella...she is our mini daschund who just loves curling up on our laps whenever she gets the chance. She decided to "nap" while I was creating this post...lol

Have a fantastic day and be sure to come back for more scrappy posts : )

Maley Mo's Memories~LESSology DT Challenge

Happy Friday! Today I will be posting a super fun project that I completed last night which not only is for my daughter Kaley...but this is also my submission for the LESSology Design Team call they are currently holding. Part of the "audtion" process is to not only create a project using a recycled item..you need to do a blog post about it and also share in a paragraph as to why they should choose me to be on their design team. I will get to that in a moment but first let me show you my "upcycled" project : )

Now...imagine these scrapped & altered up to turn into this.....

Yup..that's right...I made this mini album with toilet paper rolls : ) This was a super fun project to do. The title for this mini is Maley Mo's Memories. My hubby's nickname for our daughter Kaley, is Maley Mo. She went to church camp this summer and had a lot of summer activities so I know she will have no problem filling this mini album up with tons of photos and notes.

Here are some of the supplies that I used for this project. Now on with the pics....
Just a closer pic of the front cover detail : )

Just a closer pic of the back so you can see more detail of the TP tube opening & how I put them together.
Each TP tube had a custom made tag that tucked snuggly inside the opening. These will be a perfect place for Kaley aka Maley Mo to write down memories & fun experiences.

Here you can see how the tags fit inside the TP tube.

I feel that I would be a great addition to the LESSology DT as I LOVE using recycled items and repurposing things I find around my house in my scrapbooking & craft projects. I have been doing that for years now and being on a Team with other crafty & talented ladies who do the same would be a dream for me. I love nothing more than sharing the work I do and seeing all of the amazing projects from other crafters out there in the blog world. Being on this Design Team would just be the icing on the cake for me or in a scrappers words, the embelishment that completes the page : )

Thank you for stopping by my blog today and looking at my recycled scrappy project. Keep your fingers crossed for me that I am one of the lucky ones to join LESSology.

Have a fantastic day : )

Sweet Gracie Mae's Baby Board Book

Hi Friends...first let me say a big THANK YOU to all of you who posted on my blog and FB the well wishes and a speedy recovery for me from my summer flu bug. I feel much better and I am ready to get back to some scrappy projects & posts : )

I am working on a few different projects right now...a couple of them are submissions for a Design Team position with a couple of companies~keep your fingers crossed for me~I will post more about that later.

Today I thought I would share a baby board book I made for one of my nieces, Gracie Mae. I love doing these board books and have made a lot of them for family & friends.

I LOVE how this board book turned out...the colors are so pretty and work together so well...makes me wish I had another baby to put some precious pictures in ; )

I started out taking these pics on my kitchen table where I take 99% of my scrappy pictures but for some reason there was this strange glare coming from the patio windows and made the pics look weird, so there's a mix of pics on the carpet & table...anyhoo here are some pics of the inside : )

It was awesome to see the look on my SIL's face when I gave this to her. I have to say that besides the pure enjoyment I get from scrapbooking..seeing the reactions of those who receive scrappy things from me is the reason I do this and LOVE doing this....pure scrapbook addict through and through : )

Now that I feel better...I will be posting more regularly if not daily.

Thanks for stopping by : )

Under The Weather : (

Hi Blog friends...just a quick post to say that I am still around...I have just been sick the past few days so I haven't been up to doing a scrappy post or work on any projects lately.

I will be catching up this weekend so be sure to come back and check out what I have been working on before this summer sickness came upon me : )

Have a great day : )

My Girls....

So I was thinking about what scrappy project I wanted to share with all of you and I was looking through some photos of "projects past"...that's kinda catchy...I may use that as my title when I post older projects I have created...but I digress.

So I thought I would share a board book I made for one of my SIL's~my hubby's youngest brothers wife~to showcase some photos of their three beautiful baby girls.

This was a super fun book to design and put together for my SIL. I tried taking pics of the book on the table~where this one is taken~but I kept getting a glare and they didn't look right for some reason so the remaining pics are taken on my living room floor...lol.

I think this is probably my favorite page in this board book. I have this super cute vine ribbon that I used and then placed some small delicate flowers on top and added some bling...I mean this is a book for some girls...gotta have some bling : )
Ok...not sure why I didn't rotate this before posting but oh well...you get the idea : )

Loved giving this to my SIL and seeing the look of happiness on her face when she saw it. I know she will have no trouble filling this board book with some amazing pics of her beautiful girls.

I am working on a project right now that is using some of the cardboard I posted about here. Be sure to check back and see how it turned out : )

Have a great evening : )
