Canvas Mini Album Tutorial

Hi Friends! Today I'm going to be sharing a tutorial I did as a Design Team member for Crafting Ireland. This was live on their blog on June 18th but I wasn't able to share it on mine. My grandma passed away on July 17th so I'm just now getting back into crafting and trying to return to "normal". So I apologize for the lack of posts in the past week.

For this project I repurposed some canvas sheets I picked up on one of my junkin trips. I wanted to share with you all the photos of the completed project in this post. For the full tutorial on how I created this canvas mini, please click HERE.

I've been trying for a few days to get the rest of my photos loaded but for some reason Blogger isn't letting me add more...ugh!! So...I'm just going to make this post live and I'll try to add more pics later. I do have a video of this canvas mini which I'll insert later today when I get home (I'm at work right now...shh..lol).

You can see the full tutorial and additional photos by clicking on the link I put above. Sorry I can't put more in this post...not sure what's going on.

Thanks for stopping by and for checking out another ScrappinAbby project : )

I'm So Proud Of You

Hi Friends! I'm happy to share a card I created for a good friend of mine using some of the yummy Crinkle Ribbon from 3 Girl JAM .

I wanted to play around with different patterns and colors on this card so I used 4 different papers and 3 Crinkle Ribbons from 3 different bundles. I really like how it turned out : )

Here's a short video that shows you the card up close along with the crinkle ribbons I used...

Some additional photos....
I love how the Hot Chocolate from the Hot & Cold Bundle and the Aqua Splash from the Caribbean Splash Bundle crinkle ribbons work so well together.
I wanted to continue the mix of patterned paper on the inside as well so I did a collage type layer and topped it off with more of the yummy 3GJ crinkle ribbon.

I hope you enjoyed my project today and I encourage you to mix up the different crinkle ribbons from the many bundles you have to choose from.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and for checking out another ScrappinAbby project.

Happy Crafting!!

Where Bloggers Create 2013 Craft Room Tour

*To see my May Arts 2nd Round DT Call project & post please click HERE*

Hi Friends! Welcome to the 2013 Where Bloggers Create Blog Party hosted by Karen Valentine from My Desert Cottage. I also want to welcome those of you who are visiting my blog for the first time...if you like what you see..please become a follower...let me know you did and I'll return the favor as I'd love to check out your blog & craft as well : )

This year is especially exciting for me as I just moved my craft room downstairs just last week and my craft space has doubled (YAY). So I just got my room put together (mostly) and I'm really excited to share it with all of you. I still need to add some window treatments and hang a few things but it's pretty close to how I want it to look. I created a video as I thought that would be the easiest and best way to show you around my creative space so I didn't make you sift through a ton of photos : )

I tried not to make it too long but well darn it..I just get so excited about my world of paper crafting that I want to share it all ; )

For those of you who are new to me...you probably can tell that I am a paper crafter who LOVES all things purple. I've been scrapbooking/crafting for 18 years this September (right after I had my son) and this once hobby has turned into a complete obsession and crafty career for me. You can check out my whole story in my bio that's on my blog :)

I do have a few photos of my room to share...I didn't want to make the post too long so I be sure to watch the video if you want to see my creative space in it's entirety : )

I had so much fun getting my room together and participating in this super fun blog party that Karen Valentine puts together each year. I hope you enjoyed the tour of my creative space and I can't wait to check the other blogs on the list.

Be sure to come back for another scrappy post and happy craftin!!

May Arts Round 2 Project:Shabby Chic Ribbon Chandelier

Hi Friends! I was over the moon excited when I saw my name in the LIST of those who made it to Round Two of the May Arts 2013-14 Design Team Call. I pretty much knew exactly what I wanted to create with the May Arts ribbon for this project...a shabby chic ribbon chandelier. I love chandys and have been looking for the perfect vintage chandelier to put in my craft room so I decided to create one from ribbon in colors I love to hang in my creative space.

Since I applied for the May Arts DT Video Tutorial position, I have a video tutorial for you that shows you how I created this chandelier along with some footage of the project before I started and of the completed project....

Here are some additional photos of the completed chandelier : )
The base of the chandelier is a vintage wire hanging basket. In the video tutorial I show you how I tied the ribbons to the basket and added some decorative baubles along with the trims. Everything you see on the chandelier is from May Arts with the exception of the baubles which are hung with fishing line (that I may or may not have taken from my hubby's tackle box..lol).

Here are a couple of photos of the chandelier hanging in my craft room in it's new home...

I really love how this chandelier turned out and the May Arts ribbons are just gorgeous and really make this chandy so beautiful & shabby chic looking...which is just what I love : )

Be sure to check out the May Arts blog as Bethney will be posting the projects from all of crafters who made it to the 2nd round. I can't wait to see the projects from the group of creative ladies on the list.

She's making the 2013-14 Design Team announcement on July 29th so be sure to check back for that exciting post. Please keep your fingers & toes crossed for me as I would LOVE to be a Prima Ribbonista and get the opportunity to play with the gorgeous ribbons and trims May Arts has to offer.

Thanks for checking out another scrappy post and happy craftin!!

Itty Bitty Mini Swap

Hi Friends! Today I'm sharing a super cute itty bitty mini I made for a swap over at Scrappy Happiness. Now I didn't put a link to the site since Kimmer who hosts and puts on all the swaps, has moved to a new site. I'll do a post about that once I get back from vacation and have had a chance to sign up etc. We're leaving tomorrow for a huge family vacation...I'm super excited and can't wait to spend some time with the Henderson Clan : )

I signed up for the Itty Bitty Mini as I've never made one with these specific size requirements, 4x4. Even though it's itty bitty, the mini is constructed and is just as full of texture and detail as my larger minis. The color theme was black, pink and white.

I made the cover of the album from chipboard and the "pages" are paper bags. For the binding I used Laura Denison's Stack The Deck.

Here's a quick video I did that shows you the mini up close....

The pics are a bit darker than normal, I wasn't able to get photos as early in the day as I had wanted..sorry about that : )

I hope the recipient of my mini loves it and I can't wait to get mine. I'll do a post and video once I get it.

Thanks for checking out another scrappy post...Happy Craftin!!
