3GJ Challenge No.29-Give Thanks With Ribbon

Hi Friends! Today marks the start of the newest challenge over at the 3 Girl JAM Challenge Blog , Give Thanks With Ribbon! For my project I made some Thanksgiving place cards that our family will use at our dinner this year.

Here's a video that shows you the project up close & I have a short tutorial where I walk you through how I made these quick and easy place cards...

I love how the Sunflower Crinkle Ribbon and the Harvest Crinkle Ribbon work so well with the card stock I chose for these name cards. They really make the leaf pop off the card stock and the colors are perfect for this time of year. My hubby has 4 brothers who are all married and have kids so it's almost 40 of us with that group alone, so these cards are a super quick and easy project to make when you need to have a ton ready like I do : )

Here are the challenge rules and guidelines : )

Altered Vintage Wood Light Switch Cover

Hi Friends! Today I have a fun project to share with all of you. I went junkin last week and came across this awesome wood vintage light switch cover. As soon as I saw this, I already had an idea on how I wanted to alter this.

Here's what it looks like now...

And here's what it looked like before...

I also have a video for you that shows you the completed project up close along with some of the steps to create this...

And here's my beautiful, funny, kind and all around awesome co-worker/friend Alisha with her wall hanging...

I have to say that some of the best items I've found to alter or "craft-up" have come from my junkin trips. I encourage you to get out into your local thrift shops, second hand stores, yard sales etc and see what treasures you too can find to get creative with.

Thanks for stopping by & for checking out another scrappy post. Don't forget to leave me a comment if you liked the project or if you have any questions.

Happy Craftin!!

Inspiration Art Journal Page One: Inspire

Hi Friends. I have been so excited to share this new venture I've started with all of you. I finally bit the bullet and decided to start my Inspiration Art Journal! I've been wanting to work on one of these for quite some time and I just decided I'm going to do it.

I'm going to document my process for each page of the journal via a blog post and video. Sometimes I'll have bits of me working on the project in the video and sometimes it will just the end result but I will always do an intro explaining my thought process for the upcoming page I'm working on. I mention this in the first few minutes of the video below, but just to recap, I plan on working on this when the mood hits me or when I need a "break" from working on DT projects (which I LOVE btw), my own projects or those from some clients of mine. I want to be able to have total creative freedom when I'm working on this journal and this is such an exciting outlet for me : )

So enough chatter...let me share Page One with all of you : )

Here's the video that documents and walks you through the creative process for this first page, I also show you some of the techniques I used as well...

Here are some more photos of the journal up close...

I am in total love with this page...the purples, the textures and all the different elements really turned out well I think.

I hope you will all enjoy going on this new creative journey with me and will check back when I have more pages to share.

Thanks so much for stopping by and happy crafting : )
