You crafters know how much I love using more than one bundle or ribbon selection on my projects. It's fun to see how well they all blend & work together....
This tag has such a cool mix of textures from the washi tape to the 3GJ Gold Cording. I encourage you to mix it up a bit and pull from several of the 3GJ ribbon and trim bundles if you don't do that already. Even though the diagonal striped ribbon is a dark navy/blue color, it still goes so well with the gold and black, at least I think so : ) I am excited for the New Year and can't wait to see what 2015 brings. Hi Friends! Today I'm sharing the two cards I made for my own mom and for my Mother-in-law. I had to wait a few days to post this since we were hand delivering the cards and I wanted to make sure they saw them first in person before I posted them online (yes my mommy does follow my blog...lol).
I also made a video for each one showing you some of the goodies I used along with a short tutorial in the one for my MIL....

It was a lot of fun designing and creating these cards for two very special ladies in my life. I am truly grateful for my mom, she to this day continues to support and do for my family along with my other 5 siblings and their families. My MIL is also an amazing woman. She raised 5 boys who are all amazing Godly men who truly cherish and value their wives and families. I am truly blessed to have Steve as my husband and I thank Myrna SO much for raising such a kind and giving man who loves me and my two kids unconditionally. Hi Friends! I am really excited to share my first official project as a new member of the Linnie Blooms Design Team!!!
I had so much fun playing with some of the canvas pieces and I came up with a creative & decorative way to not only store my pieces but to organize them as well.
I recycled some vegetable cans and created these sweet containers that I decorated with some of the very same canvas pieces these will store. I also have a video to share with you that shows you the project up close along with the Linnie Bloom items I used....
Let me share with you the fun techniques I used on the canvas pieces...
For the flower, I used a script background stamp to create some texture and visual interest.
Next I used some sprays to give it some color and used my distress tool to fray the edges to give it a shabby chic look...
I did the same technique for the leaf pieces but used a different background stamp...
For the butterfly I stamped an actual butterfly image on the canvas piece then used some distress ink to give it some color....
I wanted to have the illusion that the butterfly had just flown into my craft room and landed on the vine so I taped the wire I had left from when I cut my flowers to the backside of the butterfly so I could bend it as if it was in motion....
For the bird I used some embossing powder for added texture and shimmer....
Lastly, I used the same treatment on all the banner pieces that I attached to each altered can....

Hi Friends! Today I have a home decor project to share with all of you. Once in awhile I get around to making something for myself and/or my house so I am exited to share this with you.
I used one of the TH configuration boxes to create a piece of wall art I call, Nest.
I also have a video...this shows you the project up close as well as the many items I used to create this...
I have to say that photographing this was a bit of a challenge for me as I normally take pics in my craft room but there was a shadow from the lip of the box and it was a gorgeous sunny day here yesterday so I did my best :)
I won't go into too much detail in the post since I go over it pretty well in the video...so I'm just going to share some additional photos and the products I used...
I absolutely LOVE all the texture I achieved from the silver metallic material from Mon Ami Gabby along with the mini Cherry Blossoms stencil from The Crafters Workshop.
I haven't decided if I want to attach some burlap to this and use that as my hanger for the wall piece or if I want to attach some hardware to it. I kind of like the idea of just setting it on my mantle....guess I'll have to wait and see what speaks to me when I go to display it : )
