Sami one of our AMAZING leaders with the PSDT came up with this fantastic idea to do a round robin challenge for this week. Each of us on the DT was tasked to provide a variety of die cut images in various papers/styles etc & mail them to our assigned person. My die cuts were sent by Sarah at My Little Somethings I was really excited to see what cuts she would send me..I love Sarah's design style and knew I wouldn't be disappointed with her selection.
I chose to use 3 different dies from the HUGE variety she sent me...so many choices to choose from but here is what I came up with for this weeks challenge..
I chose to use the Sizzix Tags and Decorative Accent with Flowers & Leaves and the Spellbinders Butterflies die cuts.
For the Tag die I inked the edges with some Tim Holtz Dusty Concord distress ink..wrapped some Pink Sorbet twine from The Twinery..added a couple of Tim Holtz stapes and used some foam adhesives to make it pop from the page.
Now this part was really fun. I used some Flower Soft in Lavender for the center of the flowers. I will do a tutorial on using this really cool product a little later on..keep an eye out for that post :)
I used some Crystal Ice Stickles for the butterfly & the flowers. Wrapped some yummy wrinkled ribbon from May Arts to finish off the look of the card. I love this ribbon!!
And now for the inside...
One last look...
Now for some more inspiration from my fellow DT Members....
The Perfect Sentiments Team is the sponsor for this weeks challenge and this is the prize up for grabs for the winner of this challenge...
Now who couldn't use an Amazon gift card??? I know I sure could : )
Please remember when entering a card into our weekly challenge...the sentiment MUST be on the front of the card. You can check out all of the details surrounding this challenge here at the Perfect Sentiment Challenge Blog. I thought this was a super fun challenge and it will be fun to see what my fellow DT members create with the dies they were sent. We are just as excited to see what all of you come up with as well. So now that you have been inspired...head to your creative space and start working on your card : )
Be sure to come back for another scrappy post.
