Hi Friends! I have some really fun, super quick and easy Washi Tape projects to share with all of you today. I don't know about you but I've sorta been collecting all sorts of Washi Tapes in different widths, colors and patterns..I just think they're cute!! I just ordered a ton of fabric tape from Maya Road so as I was adding it to my stash of other tapes...I realized I'd better start using this stuff at some point..lol.
So that brings me to today's post...I spent about an hour at the most coming up with and creating 5 projects to share with you using Washi Tape in different ways. I also have a short video that shows you all of the projects up close as well as the tapes I used so be sure to check that out too : )
As you can see I made a couple of tags, dressed up some journaling cards and made a mini canvas...all in under an hour. You can do this too..trust me : )
Here's the short video...(for some reason Blogger isn't loading my videos but you can check out my video HERE on my YouTube Channel : )
First up are the tags...I wanted to create a flower for one of them and for the second I simply used a few different colored and patterned tapes and made them the background for the tag.
The Washi Tapes take sprays perfectly!! I go over that in the video..but here's a closer look...
Such a fun way to create your own background by placing strips of the tape on your projects!
You can use the Washi Tape to create simple flower to embellish your projects!
Next up are the journal cards I dressed up a bit : )
Some simple pleating of the Washi Tape gives your projects some great detail.
Making some small simple flowers & adding some leaves really dresses up the note card don't you think?
And for my last project...probably my favorite...is a mini canvas...
Use your Washi Tape as a background for a canvas project. I absolutely love this one and I have it displayed in my craft room already..lol.
I hope I've been able to give you some ideas on how to use your stash of Washi Tape. These are some quick and easy projects that you can create for that last minute gift or tag might need. I'll leave you with one last photo...it's of my baby Bella checkin things out as I was snapping the above photos..
Welcome to the 3 Girl JAM/Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Co-blog Hop!
If you came from Lisa's blog then you are in the right place. If not
and you would like to start at the beginning please go here 3 Girl Jam.
3 Girl Jam and Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons have teamed up for this
fabulous blog hop! We are using PPPR cut files, digital clip art, and
digital paper packs (http://www.prettypapergraphics.com/) and 3GJ crinkle ribbon (http://www.3girljam.com/)
And now for my project.......
I chose to create a Halloween Tag display for my project. I was really inspired when I was looking through the FAB digital paper choices at Pretty Papers, Pretty Ribbons but ultimately I chose to work with the Sunny Skies Swirly paper collection. I have to tell you that this was my first time using digital paper and I LOVE IT!! To go along with this collection I chose to use the Halloween Harvest Crinkle Ribbon from the new Seasons Bungle and the Goblin Green Crinkle Ribbon from the Spooky Bundle.
I used some TH Distress Ink on all the papers & tags to give them that spooky, haunted house, aged feel that I was going for with this project. I fussy cut one of the swirls & used it to sort of frame the frame...haha. I used some of the Crackle Accents from Ranger on the swirls in the background. Here's a closer look...
You can see from this pic that I used some eyelets & some of the Halloween Harvest crinkle ribbon as a hinge/binding system to hold the tags together.
Love love love this blue paper. I wanted to mix in some color with the oranges and yellows from the other tags. I fussy cut another swirl to give this tag some dimension. Platinum stickles on my witch since she's a diva ; ) and I embossed my Happy Halloween stamped sentiment. Check out the awesome vintage black button at the top...you can get these HERE.
Ok this is probably my favorite tag & let me tell you why...I used another vintage button from 3GJ and used it as a knob to hang my frame...cool huh?? I used some of the Goblin Green crinkle ribbon for this..just to add that pop of color. My spooky sentiment is inked on a piece of the new burlap trim from 3GJ...love this stuff!!
And lastly my ghostly tag. I used the Iron Gate border punch from Martha Stewart on a strip of black CS. I only adhered the bottom portion so there was a slight pocket where I tucked in my baby ghost. You will just die laughing when I tell you what my "moon" is made of. I have a fan in my craft room and it blew the backing from one of the dimensional foam dots I was using for my ghosts onto the tag...light bulb moment...I inked it up and stuck it down..looks pretty good right?
This was a super fun project to make & I can't wait to display it on my desk at work. I hope I was able to show you some alternate ways to use your papers by distressing them and mixing it up a bit and using it for a Fall theme.
Wanna see what is up for grabs????

Hey everyone..welcome back for another scrappy post : )
Today I'll be sharing with you a tag I made for a friend of mine (which is also featured today over at 3 Girl Jam)....I won't say who it's for since I haven't given it to them yet ; )
I used some of the yummy Aqua Splash and Tuxedo crinkle ribbon on this tag. I love how well it goes with the extra CS I had and the paper rosette.
Added some black bling along the top & topped of the tag with the crinkle ribbon in both the Aqua Splash & Tuxedo.
Awesome vintage stamp from Hero Arts. The sentiment is a rub-on from DCWV.
Love the paper rosette from the Pink Paislee Vintage Vogue collection and how well it goes with the crinkle ribbon that I looped behind the rosette.
Wrapped the bottom of the craft tag with some Tuxedo.
This was such a fun, quick and easy tag to create and I can't wait to give this to my friend who has no idea they are getting this from me..hee hee. Be sure to come back for another scrappy post...I've got lots of great projects and tutorials lined up. Happy Scrappin!! Hey everyone..welcome back for another scrappy post. Today I'll be sharing a project I made for DT post with 3 Girl Jam. Tags In Bags!!
I altered some mini paper bags from our local hardware store & made a tag to go into each bag.
Here are the bags before....
And here they are after....
I used different techniques on each bag...craft paint, Tattered Angels Glimmer paint, masks, dry brush technique and distress inking. I'll be doing a You Tube video later that will go into more detail of the above techniques & I'll do a demo of each one as well.
For this tag I not only used the crinkle ribbon from 3GJ but also some of the vintage buttons & a piece of the canvas border strips.
Here you can see some of the dry brush technique I mentioned earlier. I was so thrilled when I received my bag of 3GJ vintage buttons..they are gorgeous!!
Such a fun & creative way to re-use some mini paper bags & embellish them with some wonderful scrappy products from 3 Girl Jam.
Thanks for stopping by & checking out another scrappy project.
Happy Scrappin!!
