Altered Coffee Wall Art....

Happy Tuesday my creative friends : ) Today I want to share a project I just finished over the weekend. I bought this coffee wall art when I was out junkin with my girl Andrea. I can't believe I forgot to take a picture of it before I started working on it but I did.

It's a 14x14 wood frame that had a picture of 3 espresso cups in the middle. I tried finding something similiar online to show you but couldn't. When I saw it at the thrift shop I knew it had some possibilites to be turned into something scrappy.

So here it is..........
I spray painted the frame...distressed it with some sandpaper just so some of the chocolate brown would show through. The paper I used is a mix of some Basic Grey, Echo Park and some random scraps I had left over from some prior projects. I love how you can pull from so many paper lines and make them work.
I bought a bunch of these FAB latex flowers at the CK Convention last month. Sorry the pic is so blurry..didn't notice that until I went to do this post. These flowers are just so gorgeous...I picked them up in this color as well as some pinks and creams. I have a pink one on a project that is going live on my blog tomorrow...keep your eyes out for it : )

Love how these colors work so well together.
This yummy brown ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon. It came in one of my monthly ribbon sample packs. I love it!

I added some coordinating trim so this could be used as a scrappy wall art piece. You could also use this on a table or display shelf if you wanted by simply setting it on an easel or stand if you wanted.

I like to find hidden treasures when I am out junkin that I can scrap up and use around my house for decor and to show off some beautiful pics of my family. I encourage you to go out and do the same...not all scrapbook pages have to be kept in an album.

Be sure to come back tomorrow for another scrappy post...it's another weekly challenge from The Perfect Sentiment. You won't want to miss it.

Happy Scrappin!!
