Tea Time!!

Happy Friday my creative friends..I am so glad the weekend is upon us. I have a ton of scrappy projects I am working on..and I can't wait to spend some serious hours in my craft room.

I wanted to share some tea stained tags I made last week. I have these in my ScrappinAbby nook at my friend Mindy's store, Not Too Shabby, in Albany, OR. I like to have small items like this in my space along with some of the other crafty items I make.

Here's the staining phase....
I cut some flower & tag shapes with my Tim Holtz Sizzix dies w/my Vagabond. I also stained some Kraft tags and Avery shipping tags too. The flowers & tags in this picture aren't paper but some sort of canvasy type fabric material...I don't sew can you tell : )

Here's the end result of all the items I stained-minus the flowers as I am trying a new stamping technique on those and they aren't done yet.

I used a couple different Tim Holtz Distress Inks on these tags to give them a worn aged look. I thought it looked pretty cool with the Forest Moss ink on the butterflies & on some of the other stamped images.

These are the fabric/canvas tags. I used Dusty Concord for the stamped images. They turned out pretty shabby-licious I think : )

All packaged and ready to go : )

I'll do a post tomorrow with all my scrappy goodies at Not Too Shabby..which includes these tags.

This is a fun and super easy way to create your own distressed tags & flowers. My 16yr old son Tre' thought I was crazy when he first saw me dipping fabric and paper in the tea...lol : )

Thanks for stopping by & checking out what I'm up to...I appreciate you all.

Be sure to come back for another scrappy post.

Happy Scrappin!!
