Happy Birthday!!

No it's not my birthday...thank goodness. I'm turning the big 40 this year & I'm not too thrilled about that!!  Just something about leaving my 30's really bugs me but I digress : )

Today I want to share a card I made for a friend of mine for her daughter. She wanted to have me create something with her daughter's favorite colors and animal print so she would have something special to give her on her birthday.

This was a fun card to make. I don't typically create with zebra patterned ribbon & I really like how this turned out. The ribbon was the inspiration for this whole card as that is Holly's favorite design. She also loves pink and her mom put together an amazing pink candy themed birthday party that any little girl would love...heck I would love it..but mine would have to be purple of course ; )

I love creating personalized crafty projects. The Celebration Stack from DCWV was the perfect choice for this card. The colors in the stack work so well with the zebra print ribbon. I used some awesome twine from The Twinery to string up the banner & to accent around the ribbon "bow".

I saw the photo of Holly's face when she opened this card & it was priceless!! That right there is the Number 1 reason why I love craft &'s too see the look of happiness & delight on the recipeints face when they receive a hand crafted gift. I know I truly appreciate and cherish all of the handmade/crafted items I receive from my family & friends : )

Thanks for stopping by my blog...don't forget about the giveaway I still have going..all of the details are posted at the top of my blog.

Be sure to come for another scrappy post : )
