Hi Friends! Today I'll be sharing a quick project I made for my desk at work. I altered some Martha Stewart/Avery pen & pencil holders. This was such an easy project to do that will dress up your work space a little bit...check it out....

I love making these crepe paper flowers....

I can't wait to see how these are going to look on my desk. I figure since I'm there 8 hours a day I might as well have a little bit of craft to look at..lol.

Hi Friends! Boy do I have a really fun and easy project for all of you today. I'm really excited to share my project for 3GJ's Challenge No.24 Back To School With Ribbon!!
For this project I used five..yup that's right...five different yummy Crinkle Ribbons from 3GJ. I created a treat box from a sheet of card stock for my daughter to give to her principal. Since this is Kaley's last year in middle school, I wanted to make something that she could give to her since she's not only an amazing principal who took care of my baby girl for 3 years, but also a family friend.

For this project I used the following 3GJ Crinkle Ribbons:
I thought it would be fun to cover the wooden knob I used with some Holly Berry crinkle ribbon.
You can see more
of the same crinkle ribbon peeking out from under the lid of the box. I
used some clear card stock to create the window so you can see the paper
apple I made which can be removed and filled with some wrapped candy as
well : )
Each side of the box has a different image from the G45 Place In Time collection...
I used some of the Goblin Green on my dictionary page apple to mimic a leaf...
This was such a fun and easy Back To School project to create that featured a wide variety of the yummy 3GJ Crinkle Ribbons. I love how the five different ribbons, each from a different bundle, really work so well together. It's always fun to mix up the bundles a bit and see what you come up with.

Hi Friends! The Scor-pal DT did a cross promo with Viva Las Vegas stamps (click HERE to see the post on the Scor-pal blog) and I'm really excited to share my Steampunk project with all of you that I created using Scor-pal products and the awesome VivaLasVegas stamps. I chose to create a Steampunk tag & tag box that you can use to hold your tags.
I also have a quick video showing you the project up close along with the stamps I used...
After picking out the card stock I wanted to use for my tag box, I cut the paper into a 10 1/4"x 4 3/4" strip
Lay your card stock lengthwise on your Scor-palat the 3/8" mark and then make a score mark at 1"
Next you'll move your card stock all the way to the left edge of your Scor-pal and make score marks at 4 1/4", 5 1/2" and 9"
Turn your card stock 90 degrees and make a score mark at 3" and then fold along all of your score lines
In the next photo you'll see where I've trimmed off a portion of my card stock...this creates the flap you need to make the box
After making the cuts above and folding on my score lines, I placed the card stock back on my Scor-pal (see the photo below for placement) and made one last score mark at 4 1/4". This creates the flap to turn up into the bottom of your tag box.
Apply Scor-Tape to your card stock as you see in the photo below
I happened to be using some distress card stock so I sanded the edges of my paper before I peeled off the adhesive backing
Next you'll assemble your tag box after you've removed the Scor-Tape backing
In the photos at the end of the tutorial, you'll see how I used a variety of papers and metal embellishments to decorate the tag box.
For the tag I used one of the amazing images from Steampunk Plate 1336. I used a few different Distress Marker colors to give my stamped image some depth
I really love how crisp and clear the stamped image looked on this vintage piece of paper.
Here I used some metallic gold ink on another image from Plate 1336
I somehow missed taking a photo of the shoe images I used for the background on my take but I wanted to use some two-tone embossing powder instead of ink for this portion of the project. You'll see the images in the photos below : )
This was my first time using the VivaLasVegas Stamps and I LOVE them!! Using them along with the Scor-pal products you can create some amazing projects.

Hi Friends...just a quick post to let everyone know that I'm still around and sorry it's been so long since my last post. It's been C-R-A-Z-Y busy at work and I had my good friend Cindy here visiting this weekend from Medford and the weekend before that we were in Washington for a family wedding. So with all that I haven't had much time to get some posts up.
I've been super busy working on some DT projects...can't wait to share those later...and I'm working on some fun project for my home.

I also had my first ever trip to Hobby Lobby two weekends ago. We don't have one yet in Oregon BUT it's coming next year (squeal)...so here's another video of my trip there and what I bought...

I used Purple Passion from the Royal Bundle and both the Latte & Cream from the Coffee Bundle for this journal. I love how well these three colors work together.
I had so much fun altering this journal and the FAB 3GJ Crinkle Ribbon makes this look so elegant I think : )

Hi Friends! I'll be sharing a special project to with all of you that was up on the Scor-pal Blog using some products from ClearSnap and Scor-pal. The reason this project is so special is because it's a mixed media canvas of my beautiful daughter Kaley and I.
Here are the products and items I selected to use for this project...
For my first layer on the canvas..I used some of the Guava spray to create a "frame" around where I was going to place my photo strip...
While that was drying I started in on my letters. I used the Smooch Glitz Sparkle in pink on the You and Me letters and used some of the Smooch Pearlized Accent ink in Gold on the & symbol...
I wanted to add some additional texture to the canvas so I mixed together some Gesso and some of the Smooch Spritz Pink Sprinkles and painted that over some texture tape that I added to the lower left hand corner of the canvas. I have a photo of this at the end of the post...
I set the canvas aside to dry and started working on my vellum rosette and accent strip that I wanted to add to the canvas. I took a 1 1/2" strip of vellum and made a score mark at every 1/2". I then folded along the score lines, cut out a circle from another piece of vellum..added some Score-tape to the circle and created a rosette...
I didn't take a photo of this but I used another 1 1/2" strip of vellum and made a score mark at every 1/4" to create a texture strip that I used as an accent peeking out from the right hand side of my photo strip.
Once the inks and sprays were dry I placed my letters on the canvas and used more Scor-tape to adhere everything to the canvas including my photo strip...
For the rest of the project I simply started layering my flowers, papers and vellum pieces on the canvas. For added texture I took a black stamp pad in addition to the ClearSnap Guava ink pad and randomly stamped background images all over the canvas. I have to say I was sort of addicted to the Smooch Pearlized Accent Ink in Gold...I used it for additional texture throughout the canvas as well. I love these products...they go on so smoothly.

I had so much fun creating this canvas and I was able to use some of the ClearSnap prodcuts I haven't tried before. I love how this turned out and my daughter already has it hung on the wall in her bedroom.
I hope I was able to inspire you to use some of the amazing ClearSnap products in a mixed media canvas and with some other craft mediums along with your Scor-pal and Score-tape...two of my must have craft items.
