Dream~Altered Journal with 3 Girl JAM!

Hi Friends! Today I have a fun 3 Girl JAM DT project to share with all of you using some of the fabulous Crinkle Ribbon & Trims from 3GJ. I've had these grey felt covered stationary items for quite some time and I thought I would alter the journal that came in this set to something I like.

Normally I have a short video to share with all of you but I sorta forgot to charge it...oops. I will however have it up on my YouTube Channel later this week so be sure to look for it.

Here are the fun 3GJ goodies I used on my altered journal....

LG Bundle-Grey Gray

Royal Bundle-Purple Passion

Holiday Trim-Silver Cording

Here are a few photos of the journal...

I created a fun flower using two different bundles and then added a few strands of the silver cording just to give it that pop.

I also made a simple bookmark with the same coordinating Crinkle Ribbon...

Creating a quick and easy project like this would make the perfect gift for anyone who loves to journal or just sketch. This is a great idea to dress up those plain Jane journals you can find at craft stores or even book stores and put your own special twist or touch on it.

I know I love how mine turned out and I can't wait to use it : )

Thanks for stopping by my blog today and for checking out another ScrappinAbby project. Like always I encourage you to pull from several of the bundles and create your own special project.

Delight In The Little Things

Hi Friends! Today I'll be sharing an altered wooden mini album that I dressed up with some laces and crinkle ribbon from3 Girl JAM .

For this project I used the following 3GJ goodies...

I used some of the lace for the binding and inside the mini along with the two other crinkle ribbon bundles. This was a pretty quick and easy mini to put together and using the 3GJ lace and crinkle ribbons really add that shabby touch I was going for.

Be sure so stop by the 3 Girl JAM Store and pick up some of the yummy lace and crinkle ribbons AND don't forget to use Discount Code:AH10 to get 10% off of your total order.

Altered Wood Boxes~Flower Storage

Hi Friends! Today I'm sharing another project that's part of my Crafty Organization series I've been working on. I was given some wood boxes by someone who thought I could use them in my craft room. After "scrappin" them up...here is what I now use to store some of my packaged paper flowers....
This is what they looked like before (minus the slots on the inside)....
Here's a video that shows you the items I used to create these lovely boxes along with how I have them stored in my craft room....

Before I put the designer paper on the boxes, I put a coat of Gesso on the edges, base and top of each box to hide some of the darker wood grain. I then used some craft paint over the top of the Gesso'd areas. Next I added the papers after inking the edges, wrapped some Maya Road trim around the boxes and put some pretty purple flowers & trims on the front. I did do some light sanding on the boxes as well to create that shabby chic look I love so much.

I really love how these turned out and they are the perfect addition to my flower storage solution.

Thanks for stopping by and for checking out another ScrappinAbby post.

Happy Crafting : )

I'm Still Here!!

Hi Friends...just a quick post to let everyone know that I'm still around and sorry it's been so long since my last post. It's been C-R-A-Z-Y busy at work and I had my good friend Cindy here visiting this weekend from Medford and the weekend before that we were in Washington for a family wedding. So with all that I haven't had much time to get some posts up.

I've been super busy working on some DT projects...can't wait to share those later...and I'm working on some fun project for my home.

Here's a video of some yummy 3GJ Crinkle Ribbon goodness and flair along with a sneak peek of what project I'm working on right now for my desk at work..

I also had my first ever trip to Hobby Lobby two weekends ago. We don't have one yet in Oregon BUT it's coming next year (squeal)...so here's another video of my trip there and what I bought...

Check back this week for some more projects and as always...thank you to all who stop by my blog.

Happy Craftin : )
