Hi Friends...today I'm sharing the flowers I made at the Mon Ami Gabby Flower Class from the 2013 CK Convention along with the three projects I made at their Purse Class. I made a short video as well so you could see the flowers up close and hear further details regarding how they were made and what we used to make them.
I took some photos of the flowers but not of the items from the purse class since I'm still working on those.
Here's the video....

And here are a few more photos of the flowers....
Thanks for stopping by and checking out another scrappy post.
Hi Friends!! I have been one busy chick this past week since I came home from the 2013 CK Convention on Sunday. I went back to work on Monday and each night for a few nights I unpacked all my goodies and organzied them so I could do some videos to share my weekend of excitment with all of you. I don't think I've ever talked to much in such a short period of time..lol. I made around 10 videos back to back and finished editing them all last night and finally uploaded the last one to my YouTube Channel this morning..YAY!!
I figured this would be way easier than trying to take a gazillion photos of everything I bought and made etc. I really did my best to keep the videos between 10-15 minutes each so I hope you will stick with me and watch them all the way through if your interested.
I ended up doing 3 videos for my massive crafty haul from Mon Ami Gabby. So I'll be sharing those videos in my post today. Sit back, grab a cup of coffee, tea or in my case a Diet Dr. Pepper and watch some crafty goodness!!
Mon Ami Gabby Crafty Haul Part 1.....
Mon Ami Gabby Crafty Haul Part 2.....
Mon Ami Gabby Crafty Haul Part 3.....
I'll put more up in another post tomorrow but you can always check them all out whenever you want on my You Tube Channel.
Hi Friends! Today I'll be sharing the awesome tags I received from Laura Denison's with Following The Paper Trail Tag Swap!!
I signed up for two months so I received two sets of tags. I did a video to share just how beautiful these tags are. Each one has so much detail and I love them!!
So grap a cup of coffee, tea etc and sit back and enjoy another ScrappinAbby video : )
Thanks for stopping by and seeing what I'm up to. I just recorded a series of videos recapping my recent trip to the Portland CK Convention. They consist of all the amazing goodies I purchased, make'n take's, class projects and kits I purchased. So be sure to come back and check them out. You can also subscribe to my YouTube Channel HERE and see all of the videos there as well. I haven't uploaded them yet but that's tonight's project : )
Hi Friends....wow what an AMAZING 4 days I just had. The Portland CK Convention 2013 was so much fun this year. I'll be doing a couple of blog posts along with some videos to share with all of you the amazing products I picked up along with the projects we made from the classes I took...so be sure to check back for those.
Today I wanted to share a few random pics from a variety of events...some are from when my friends picked me up on Thursday, one of the Make'n Takes, some of the classes and the vendor showroom floor.
Here's a tiny peek at CK Convention 2013 : )
The first 3 photos are of my friend Cindy and a t-shirt that my hubby made for her. I won the Master Crafter title last October and she was always ribbing me about that so we made a shirt for her that says "I'm With The Master Crafter" lol so I brought my winner shirt to wear for the pic you'll see below...
She's such a brat!!!
Next up...our hotel room...which was awesome btw....
First day of Convention...standing in line for the Early Entrance to the vendor floor...YAY
Left to right..Cindy, MaryBeth & Cheryl
The line snaked around the main floor...it was so exciting waiting for the doors to open : )
This is a super cute/easy make'n take card at the Sizzix booth...
Cindy & I doing another make'n take (I don't remember the name of this booth..ugh) but we made bottlecap necklaces...
Bad photo but it says Her Majesty, Drama Queen...lol. The cap is purple of course :)
Here are a couple of pics of the vendor booths...I was going to try and get some close up shots but it was the first day and it was a total madhouse...
This is how it looked during the tear down process...
It's amazing how fast they break down all the booths...makes me sad though since it's all over : (
Last up are a few pics of the crop we attended on the last night...
Me with my Medford Craftin Ladies : ) Minus MaryBeth & Cheryl...they cropped in their room.
I had a total blast and I can't wait to go next year. I'm excited to share my MASSIVE haul of goodies with all of you along with some of the projects from the classes I took. In order to keep the posts from being too long, I'll do a series of CK Convention recaps along with some videos I'll post on my YouTube Channel and here on my blog.
Thanks for checking out another scrappy post and for letting me share Part 1 of my recent CK Convention adventure : )
Hi Friends...at long last I'm headed for the 2013 CK Convention in Portland, OR...Woo Hoo!!!
Last year was my first year to go (shocking I know) and I was in awe the moment I walked in and saw the sea of crafting vendors and hundreds of women who share the same love of papercrafting! But most importantly...I get to hang out with my crafting BFF's, Cindy, MaryBeth and Cheryl. Regretfully the other two ladies I've come to know and love can't make it but I want to give them a shout out too so they aren't left out of the love...Yvonne & Ronalie....I wish you ladies could have joined us this year...miss ya!!
So since I will be out of town for 4 days I won't be around to post (yes yes I know I can schedule them out but I've been super busy with DT projects/deadlines and getting ready for the trip) so I thought I would share a video in this post that I put up on my YouTube Channel last week. It's about a mini album I made from chipboard and the Fancy Pants Home For Christmas collection-YES I said Christmas collection BUT you can't tell it's holiday paper which is so cool since I designed it as a family/heriloom mini. Before I post the video, I had to share this photo that was on the CK Convention website...if you look at the very last photo on this flyer, you will see a table with a group of ladies...well that's me with my "Craftin Crew" at last years convention. I'm the one bent over digging in my massive pile of crafty loot I bought...lol. I didn't even know this was on their website until Cheryl told me.
Ok..so here's video I was just telling you about....Fancy Pants~Through The Years Mini...
I plan on taking lots of photos like I did last year and doing a post when I get back and do some videos of all the loot I plan on buying..lol. I'm also going to try and get some short videos of the convention, vendor booths and some of the new products as well. I may even attempt to take some videos with my phone as well. I plan on uploading pics throughout the weekend to my FB as well so watch for those too.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today...I'll see you all next week when I'm back from the convention.
Hi Friends...today I have a very special post to share with all of you. Before I begin I do want to state that I have been given permission by my friend (who this post is all about) to share this project and her story with you.
Last week a co-worker, who is also a very good friend to Steve & I, was diagnosed with breast cancer. She shared her story with the ladies she works with and I have to be honest with you and tell you how heartbreaking it was to hear her tell us this news. Shelly has to be one of the strongest & most positive women I know aside from my own mom, who also battled breast cancer and BEAT IT!!! When Shelly was telling us about her diagnosis and her upcoming treatment, she was so strong and so sure in the path she was taking with her course of treatment. Shelly has a very strong faith in God and that is so very evident in the way she is handling this news. I certainly hope that I can be as strong as she is if I was to ever be faced with this type of diagnosis.
After she told us her news, I went back to my desk and I immediately knew I wanted to make something for her, a journal to document this "journey" in her life. I couldn't wait to get off work so I could get started. So today's post is all about Shelly and the "My Journey" journal I designed and created for her. I have two videos I made, Part 1 shows you the creative/thought process I went through to create this journal, it's about 11 minutes long, and Part 2 is the actual video showing you the completed journal, it's about 22 minutes long. I will show some of the photos in here as well but I won't show them all since the journal is quite large and you can see it in it's entirety by watching the video.
Before I post the videos and selection of photos....I want to say to Shelly that Steve & I think the world of you and you have been a friend to us from the very first day we met you. You helped in the planning of our wedding and shared our special day with us. That meant so much to Steve & I so creating this journal for you is just a small thing compared to all that you have done for us. I wanted to be a part of this journey with you in whatever capacity I could...I hope this journal helps you through this process and brings you comfort and provides the outlet you will need to document and record your journey through your battle to beat this cancer. Love you mucho : )
Here is a photo of Shelly with the journal (posted with her permission)
Isn't she beautiful??? Here's the first video, Part 1-this one is me talking and walking you through the creative process for the journal and I also say some words about Shelly...
Here's the second video, Part 2-this one shows the Journal in it's entirety...
Here are a few photos of the journal...
Thanks for letting me share this very special project & Shelly's story. I typically don't "talk" so much in my posts but I just felt it was important to share this with you and explain why I created this and why it's so very special. Have a great day friends and be sure to come back for another scrappy post : )
